Booking
Courses scheduled to take place are published on the booking portal for registration. A minimum number of participants is required for a course to be held. Once this minimum has been reached, or no later than five business days before the course starts, a decision will be made regarding whether the course will proceed. Participants will then receive an email with the subject line “Welcome to Course at NTNU Ocean Training”.Prices and Payment
The price stated on the website is the price that will be invoiced. Discounts may be offered for larger orders from the same shipping company or organisation.Courses are exempt from VAT. Payment terms are 15 days, and the invoice is issued at the start of the course. For new customers, payment must be completed before the course certificate is issued.Cancellations and Withdrawal
Cancellations may be made up to five business days before the course starts. For cancellations made less than five business days before the start date, 50% of the course fee will be charged. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course starts, the full course fee will be charged.If a participant transfers their registration to the next scheduled course, the cancellation fee may be reduced.If non-attendance is due to acute illness or other acute incident that can be documented, the course fee can be waived. (This does not apply to e.g. cancelled flights on the morning the course starts)
If our facilities or instructor are exposed to an acute incident such as injury, illness or similar, a course can be cancelled. The course participant will then be offered a new course on a new date with a discount corresponding to the cost of domestic flights that have been lost. E-learning
E-learning is offered both as standalone courses and as preparation for instructor-led courses. For courses delivered entirely through e-learning, participants have 12 months from the date of purchase to complete the course. After this period, the licence expires.Personal Data
We process personal data for the purpose of confirming the competence of various authorities such as the Norwegian Maritime Authority, the Norwegian Coastal Administration, the Norwegian Nautical Institute and the shipping company behind the reservation. We therefore store this data in order to be able to document completed course participation.

Previous knowledge (previous course certificate with name and date of birth)
Date of birth
Personal identity number only for courses that are reported to the NMA until reported and deleted thereafter.
Complaints
If the course participant experiences conditions that do not correspond to expectations, are in violation of Norwegian law or are otherwise perceived as censurable, this can be reported to the company at any time.Email maritime@ocean-training.no
